Jody Alvey and her husband Scott make their home in St. Clairsville, along with their daughter Katie and twin sons Joshua and Jacob. The family has attended Friends Church since 2014.
Jody was born in Flint, MI, and grew up in Hammondsville, OH. She graduated from Stanton (Edison) High School, then went on to earn a BA of Psychology from Malone College (University) and a MA of Counseling from Franciscan University. After completing her Master’s Degree, Jody worked at the Jefferson Behavioral Health System in the Partial Hospitalization Unit.
Jeremiah 29:11, “’For I know the plans I have for you,’” declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future,’” is Jody’s favorite verse. She says, “Jeremiah 29:11 has always provided me comfort and reminded me scripturally that God has it all in control and that He loves and takes care of us!”
In her spare time, Jody enjoys putting her creative talents to use by reading, cooking and baking, crafting, sewing, and crocheting.
