Sam Pitt grew up in Columbus, OH, and moved to the St. Clairsville area in 1977.
Retired after 38 years with AT&T, Sam enjoys deer hunting, Fantasy Football, and morning coffee at McDonald’s. He has attended EREFC since 1978.
As a young man Sam discovered the value of doing his laundry – he met his future wife Betty (Brownlee) at the St. Clairsville Laundromat. They married in 1984. Their family circle includes three daughters; Julie (Bobby Ney), Allie, and Lorie plus two grandchildren.
1 John 5:13, “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life,” is Sam’s favorite. “This scripture verse impacted me through Evangelism Explosion. It helped me change from a works oriented faith to a faith in Christ alone.”
