Hicksville, OH, is Charity (Knapp) McMillan’s hometown. She and her husband Alan married in 2000 and live in St. Clairsville. She enjoys cooking, making jewelry, and spending time with their sons, Riley and Aiden. The family has attended EREFC since 2013.
Charity earned her BA from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She has worked as executive director of Christ’s Cupboard Ministries in Hicksville, OH and also served as a case manager for substance abuse and mental illness through Moundbuilders Guidance Center in Knox and Licking counties, OH.
Although she has several favorite verses, her number one pick is Psalm 118: 13-14, “I was pushed back and about to fall, but the Lord helped me. The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” Charity says that this scripture “has gotten me through a lot of tough times.”
She and her two younger sisters are PK’s (Preacher’s Kids). Their names make up an encouraging message; Charity, Faith, and Hope.
